NOTICE

PETROPERU addresses the public opinion to report the following:

On 05. 16.2020, at 3:30 p.m., a minor crude outcrop was detected at kilometer 609 + 215 of Section II of the North Peruvian Pipeline-ONP, in the jurisdiction of the Caserío La Vega, in the Pucará district, Jaén province, Cajamarca.

The contingency plan foreseen for these cases was immediately put into operation, a team of specialized professionals and technicians moving to the area to carry out the cleaning, containment and repair work on the pipeline.

The fact has been reported to the regulatory agencies and an investigation process has begun to determine the causes of this incident.

It should be noted that the ONP has been out of service since April 30, 2020, in compliance with the provisions of the State of National Emergency and mandatory social isolation to counter the advance of COVID-19.
