North Peruvian pipeline temporarily suspends operations
PETROPERU addresses the public opinion to report the following:
- In compliance with the provisions of the State of National Emergency and the mandatory social isolation due to the health crisis caused by COVID-19, the operations of the North Peruvian Pipeline have been temporarily suspended since April 30.
- During this period, the necessary measures will be reinforced to guarantee the health and safety of our workers, contractors, suppliers and neighboring communities, in order to resume the safe oil transportation service when this difficult stage for the country ends.
- As part of the suspension of activities, the demobilization of the personnel has been ordered, strictly complying with the protocols established by the health authorities.
- It should be noted that this temporary stoppage will not impact the normal supply of fuels to the national market.
- PETROPERU reaffirms its commitment to the country and guarantees its permanent concern for the health and safety of its workers, an essential pillar in the development of our company.
