The representatives of the Puerto Maldonado institutions, members of the Local Committee, made a guided visit to the construction area of the new Sales Plant, a project that PETROPERÚ has been executing in this city of the Madre de Dios region.

During the visit, carried out following the COVID-19 biosafety protocols, they were informed that the project is 55% complete, prioritizing the hiring of local labor.

The plant, which is being built in the area known as El Castañal, in Tambopata, will have a storage capacity of 50 thousand barrels (MB) and will allow ordering and regulating the supply of fuels in the region, satisfying the demand of the area, with quality fuels.

The Local Committee is made up of a representative of the Municipality of Tambopata, Regional Directorate of Energy and Mines (DREM), Research Institute of the Peruvian Amazon (IIAP), National University of Puerto Maldonado (UNAMAD), Chamber of Livestock Development (CEDEGA) and E.I. El Castañal.

In line with the Community Relations Plan of this project, the representatives of these institutions monitor and monitor social programs and other interventions that are developed in a participatory manner, with each of the agents involved.
