The new General Manager of PETROPERÚ, Hugo Chávez Arévalo, made a working visit to the Conchán Refinery facilities, south of Lima, together with Director Juan Pari; the Operations Manager, Óscar Vera and the Conchán Refining Department Manager, Janet Zehnder.

The tour included a visit to the operational areas, such as the process units, product movements and the laboratory, the new general manager - on behalf of the Senior Management - expressed his appreciation and special greeting to the personnel on duty and the group of workers of the Company when commemorating, every October 9, the Day of the Oil Worker.

Chávez Arévalo highlighted the enormous human and professional potential of the Company's personnel and highlighted the strategic role that each of the workers fulfills in achieving the company's strategic objectives; likewise, he announced the prompt recovery of the traditional huacal, the former institutional logo of PETROPERÚ.

The visit continued through the facilities of the Conchán Sales Plant, where they were able to see the automatic fuel dispatch system, recently installed and which allows up to 350 tanks per day to be served, making this facility one of the most modern in the country.

The quality control of the products that are sold wholesale by the Conchán Sales Plant is carried out in the new laboratory of this important PETROPERÚ operation, where more than 100,000 tests are carried out per year, using state-of-the-art equipment.

The Conchán Refinery is a strategic operation of PETROPERÚ, due to its location next to the country's main market and because it is connected to the entire national territory by sea and land. It has a liquid fuel storage capacity of 2.4 million barrels (100 million gallons), which guarantees the supply of fuels in Lima and in various regions of the country.
