New cycle of PETROPERU conferences: Crossroads of the Bicentennial

As part of the commemorative activities for International Women's Day, PETROPERU will present its lecture series "Crossroads of the Bicentennial: Women in the first 100 years of the Republic: contributions and experiences".

The first conference is titled "Manuela Saenz, patriot and your lover", by the researcher Mariana Libertad Suárez. Admission will be free, from 6:00 p.m. via the Facebook Live of the PETROPERU Cultural Center.

This cycle has the objective of highlighting the participation of women in the consolidation of republican life, during the first 100 years of the independence of our country; in addition to disseminating a set of key issues for a broad debate on the bicentennial agenda.

The following lectures will be given by the researchers Sharún Gonzales, Rosanna Merino Silicani and Ainaí Morales. The cycle will be conducted by Marcel Velásquez, literary critic and current general director of Libraries and Publications of the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos.

This activity is part of the cultural policy and commitment of PETROPERU to maintain spaces for dialogue, debate and understanding of the various scenarios that the country is going through, in this year in which we celebrate a new centenary of our independence.
