New Chairman of the Board reaffirms his commitment to strengthening Petroperú
The new Chairman of the Board of Petroperú, Pedro Chira Fernández, reaffirmed his firm commitment to continue working for the strengthening of the State company, together with the technical team and experience in the hydrocarbons sector that accompanies him in the direction and management of the company state oil company This was expressed during the presentation ceremony held with the company's workers.
In this sense, he stressed that his management will focus on achieving full operation this year of the New Talara Refinery (NRT), continuing with vertical integration, strengthening governance and the financial sustainability of the company, in line with his plan of strategic.
"We will be working hard for the governance of Petroperú, with integrity and transparency," added Chira Fernández, urging the workers to assume the values of the first company in the country.
The head of the Energy and Mines portfolio, Óscar Vera Gargurevich, participated in the ceremony, who highlighted the professional profiles that make up the new Petroperú Board of Directors. Similarly, he pointed out that the implementation of the NRT will lead to making the state company bigger.
Vera Gargurevich stressed that the government, through the sector it directs, reaffirms its commitment to the promotion and development of the hydrocarbon sector, with sustainability, economic and social prosperity for the country. The conference was attended by the Vice Minister of Hydrocarbons, Enrique Bisetti Solari, the General Manager, Cristina Fung Quiñones and the members of the new Board of Directors.
The new Petroperú Board of Directors, led by Chira Fernández, is made up of the following professionals with vast experience in the hydrocarbons sector: Pedro Méndez Milla, Artemio Reátegui Soria, Brigitt Bencich Aguilar, José Olivares Canchari and Antonio Manosalva Alarcón, the latter representing the workers.
