Neighbors of Villa el Salvador participate in sports championship promoted by PETROPERU

Neighbors of twelve Human Settlements (AAHH) of Villa El Salvador (VES), near the Conchán Refinery, participated yesterday of the first day of the PETROPERU 2018 Inter Human Settlements Sports Championship, which brought together dozens of local families in a day of entertainment and integration.

The competition was held in the sports field Brisas de Pachacamac of VES, the stage chosen for the twelve teams formed by the residents of the area to demonstrate their skill with the ball, highlighting the paintings that represented Zona Playa, Zona Parque Metropolitano, Aires Ampliacion and Aires de Pachacamac.

After playing several games, the finalists who will face each other next Sunday, September 23, in the grand final of the championship, were found. On that date there will also be a women's volleyball exhibition match.

But not only the adults showed off after the ball, the children and teenagers of the Soccer and Volleyball Academy of PETROPERU also showed their talent during two exhibition matches. They participate since April of this sports workshop that will culminate in December, where they also learn discipline, responsibility and teamwork.

Generating economic income

The realization of the sports championship also served for residents of the Board of Directors of the participating AAHH to hold a small food fair, where they offered the public typical dishes from the three regions of the country, thereby generating an extra income for their homes.

These championships, which take place every year - and that already constitute a tradition in the communities that neighbor the PETROPERU facilities -, help to promote healthy recreation, integration and good relations between neighbors.
