Neighbors of Morona stop forceful actions and abandon station of the North Peruvian Pipeline
In the afternoon of Wednesday, April 25, a delegation of PETROPERU and authorities of the area held a productive dialogue with the inhabitants of the town Fernando Rosas, located in the province of Datem del Marañón, in Loreto, who had taken the facilities of the Morona Station of the North Branch Pipeline (ORN) of the North Peruvian Pipeline (ONP).
After the dialogue an act was signed, agreeing -among other points- to the maintenance and restart of the free electric service that PETROPERU provides to the town, as well as supporting the water supply.
After that, the inhabitants stopped their measure of force, which allowed to immediately restart the work of pumping in the North Branch Pipeline.
The meeting, which lasted several hours, was held in the town of Fernando Rosas, where the Prosecutor and the Prefect of the area were also present.
PETROPERÚ, through a constant and transparent dialogue, will continue to fulfill the commitments made with the neighboring populations to the North Peruvian Pipeline, which contribute with the improvement of the quality of life and the development of the country.
