Neighborhood leaders from Talara strengthen their capacities in public management, governance and leadership

Petroperú has been executing the Program to strengthen the capacities of community authorities in governance, leadership and public management, for the benefit of 240 leaders of neighborhood councils from Pariñas and 123 leaders from La Brea-Negritos, with the aim of contributing and increasing their knowledge and skills. , as well as to reinforce their role as community authorities for the benefit of their sectors.

This training initiative is carried out in coordination with the Citizen Participation sub-management of the Provincial Municipality of Talara and the Economic Development and Social Promotion management of the District Municipality of La Brea-Negritos and includes the teaching of subjects in public management and soft skills by part of specialized professionals through 10 sessions of two hours each and the certification of the presidents and members of the participating neighborhood councils.

The workshops have been carried out in a decentralized and concerted manner in the following locations:

  • Talara Centro: Auditorium of the College of Engineers.
  • Satellite City: ENACE I Multiple Use Room.
  • Southern Cone: Local of the CGTP Talara.
  • North Cone: Artisanal Landing of the San Pedro Fishermen's Guild.
  • La Brea- Negritos: Belco Multipurpose Room.

The program is carried out in line with the commitments assumed in the Community Relations Plan of Lot I and the Local Development Support Program of the Community Relations Plan (PRC) of the Environmental Impact Study (EIS) of the PMRT.

In this way, Petroperú reaffirms its commitment to continue developing sustainable social investments, based on the participation of its stakeholders in projects aimed at improving the quality of life, self-management and governance of the populations neighboring its operations.
