More than 11 thousand students receive school supplies thanks to Petroperú
Petroperú delivered 11,369 packages of school supplies to the same number of primary school students from schools in the districts of Pariñas, La Brea-Negritos, Lobitos, El Alto and Los Órganos, in Talara, as well as in the districts of Vichayal and Colán in Paita, areas of influence of the New Talara Refinery and the northwest oil lots I, VI and Z-69.
The educational material, consisting of backpacks, notebooks, blocks, bond paper, colored pencils, pens and other materials, will strengthen the learning of minors, ensuring that they have the minimum essentials for the development of their skills.
In the district of Pariñas, the delivery was made to the schools San Martín de Porres, Santa Lucía, Nuestra Señora de Lourdes, María Reyna de la Paz, Crnl. FAP Víctor Maldonado Begazo, Santa Elena, María Reiche, General Felipe Santiago Salaverry, Máximo Heraclio Cornejo Pacora, Domingo Savio, 15513 Emblemática, José Gálvez Egúsquiza, Santa Rosa de Lima, Capitán FAP José Emilio Velarde Vargas, Casa Negras, Jabonillal, Monseñor Luis Pacheco Wilson, Jorge Chávez and San Sebastián.
In the La Brea-Negritos district, the Cristo Rey, José Antonio Encinas Franco, San Pablo and Elena Emperatriz Arévalo de Martínez schools were benefited. For their part, in Los Órganos, there were the Nuestra Señora de las Mercedes, I.E. 14913 and Divino Cristo Rey. In the El Alto district, deliveries were made to the I.E. Julio César Tello, IE 14905 and Nuestra Señora del Rosario. In the district of Lobitos, it was the I.E. of the same name that was benefitted.
Finally, in Paita, Petroperú reached the educational institutions 14773, 15363 San Luis and La Bocana, in the Vichayal district; while in Colán the students from I.E. 14757 were the beneficiaries.
Educating for tomorrow
In line with its Social Management Policy and the Community Relations Plan for the Talara Refinery and oil lots I, VI and Z-69, Petroperú - since 2017 - has assisted more than 92 thousand students with the delivery of school supplies to schools in that oil province.
Likewise, from 2013 to date, more than 300 young people received scholarships in technical careers and more than 400 10th and 11th grade high school students received scholarships to study technical courses, such as office automation, computer equipment assembly, welding and graphic design, among others.
