Members of the Diplomatic Academy visit the Iquitos Refinery
A delegation from the Peruvian Diplomatic Academy, part of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, visited the Iquitos Refinery facilities seeking to learn about the challenges that the plant faces due to the conditions of the area, as well as the processing capacity for the production of the various products it offers, including gasoline, diesel and industrial oil.
It should be noted that, as a fundamental part of the training of candidates for diplomatic service, it is important that students know the national reality in the Peruvian Amazon, as well as the challenges and opportunities that our country faces in terms of community integration and environmental conservation.
The students received a technical talk on the mission, organization and functions of the Iquitos Refinery and the social management of the oil company, highlighting the important work of Petroperú in supplying fuel to the region.
The delegation highlighted the development of these guided tours that contribute to complementing the training received, deepening knowledge of the oil industry in the same facilities and with the help of professionals in the exercise of their functions.
