Mayuriaga community signs agreement with PETROPERU
The Board director of PETROPERU, German Velasquez Salazar, along with the Head of the National Civil Defence System (INDECI), Alfredo Murgueytio and the leaders of the Muyuriaga community located in the district of Morona, province of date de Marañon, Loreto have signed formal acts of agreement.
This agreement includes a combination of actions determined to improve the life quality of the area by establishing long term standards to work in conjunction with the communities of the Peruvian Amazon region. Among the main agreements found facilitating and administrating the necessary actions for the electrification of the community, telephone coverage, construction and fitting of a comunal multifunction establishment, assistance on implementing new local businesses, etc. The work meeting was held on an assertive communication context and a good work environment.
The agreement was signed on the framework of a series of meeting that Velasquez Salazar has been having with the local authorities and the leaders of the ethnic communities affected by the recent incidents of the Peruvian Oil Pipeline.
Therein, the committee of the Board Director of PETROPERU, along with the managers and workers of the different entities belonging to Mayuriaga, are heading to Chiriaco located in the province of Imaza, in the Amazon region for a work meeting with the “apus" (leaders) of the Imaza-Chiriaco community tomorrow March 9th.
