Luis E. García Rosell is appointed general manager of PETROPERU

The Chairman of the Board of Petroleos del Peru – PETROPERU S.A., Augusto Baertl Montori, has announced the appointment of Luis Eduardo García Rosell Artola as general manager of the Company, at the conclusion of the first Board meeting that he presides.

“The appointment of García Rosell as general management is a reflection of the governmental mandate that we have enthusiastically assumed, which is to continue the modernization process of the Company, and additionally, constitutes an acknowledgment of his professional trajectory and management capability in large companies and multinational corporations”, said the Chairman of the Board.

Also, Baertl welcomed the appointment of Aurelio Loret de Mola as Board Vice President of PETROPERU, who along with Rafael Venegas, Juan Asseretto and Roxana Barrantes make up the new Board of the emblematic oil company. “We have come here contribute and support as much as possible and, for that, we want to hear everybody. We have open doors to talk and maintain permanent discussion spaces that generate efficacy and efficiency in the management”, added the executive.

Previously García Rosell worked as CEO of the Wiese Group and held several posts in the Backus Group, amongst them VP of Sales, VP of Finances and General Corporate Comptroller. He was also a member of the Board of said company. “I come to work together with everyone to make PETROPERU once again renowned as a solid company and recovered the trust of all Peruvians”, said García Rosell.
