Lot 192 will boost oil production in the country with 12,000 barrels per day.

The selection process for a new strategic partner for Block 192—currently underway through Public Call No. Petroperú-001-2025-L192—represents a decisive step toward the reactivation of this important oil field, located in the province of Datem del Marañón, in the Loreto region.

The new partner will operate the block in partnership with Petroperú, assuming the role of contractor-operator under the current license agreement, ensuring efficient, safe, and sustainable operations.

Block 192 has estimated recoverable technical reserves of 127 million barrels of oil and a field production of 12,000 barrels per day. It has historically produced more than 737 million barrels, consolidating its position as the block with the highest cumulative production in the Marañón Basin. Its reactivation will represent a decisive boost for Loreto's economy, with the participation of nearly 100 companies that will provide direct and indirect services to the project. It is estimated that more than 1,000 jobs will be created, benefiting an equal number of families in the region and the native communities in the area of direct and indirect influence.

Production from Lot 192 will be used for the New Talara Refinery. This will meet the demand for crude oil for the refining process. In addition to boosting employment, the lot's operation will generate royalties for the State, royalties for the Loreto region, and new revenues from crude oil transportation through the North Peruvian Pipeline (ONP), strengthening the hydrocarbon value chain in the Amazon.

As part of its social commitment, Petroperú—together with its operating partner—will promote projects and actions aimed at improving the quality of life of native communities, including technical training and logistical support. These initiatives will contribute to strengthening social peace in the region, promoting an environment of cooperation and shared development.

Furthermore, Block 192 is projected as a strategic platform for establishing synergies with other blocks in the northern Peruvian jungle and with operations in Ecuador, promoting greater regional energy integration.

With this reactivation, Petroperú reaffirms its commitment to operational efficiency, sustainability, and the country's development, working in coordination with the State, the private sector, and communities to boost domestic hydrocarbon production and generate concrete benefits for all Peruvians.
