Literary workshop began in PETROPERU
With a great concurrence, the Creative Writing Workshop "Emotion and Technique to Create Stories", organized by PETROPERU and is taught by the outstanding writer Cronwell Jara, was started. The course, which is free, will consist of three more sessions that will be held on July 4, 11 and 25
The renowned speaker, who immediately captured the attention of the public, explained the main characteristics of the stories, such as feeling, characters, drama and transcendence, among others. Also, he encouraged them to dare to write and to believe in their ability to tell a story.
During the development of the workshop participants will learn to write a short story using syntax, literary figures, character creation and dialogue classes. They will also learn about the degrees of dramatic tension and the art of ending stories, among other narrative techniques.
The workshop also has practical exercises with the participants, the elaboration of stories and the selection of them at the end of the sessions.
About Cronwell Jara
Piura writer who has mainly cultivated the story, although he has also written novels and poems. He studied Literature at the National University of San Marcos. In 1979 he won his first awards and the following year he published his story "Hueso duro" with which he had won the José María Arguedas contest. His novel "Montacerdos" appeared in 1981 and is his most praised work.
He won the Copé de Cuento Prize in 1985 with "La escaga de Agamenón Castro" and the first ICPNA 2008 prize with the story "Ruperto, el torito saxofonista".
