Laboratory of the new Talara Refinery renews quality accreditation for its tests
PETROPERÚ continues to strengthen the future operational activities of its New Talara Refinery through the recent renewal of its Laboratory Accreditation Certificate, for the period 2022-2026, based on the NTP-ISO/IEC 17025:2017 Standard granted by the Directorate of Accreditation of the National Institute of Quality (INACAL).
This accreditation guarantees the generation of reliable results of the tests that are carried out in the Talara Refinery laboratory, by having the support of a Management System. Likewise, the results have international validity, placing the laboratory of the new refining complex in the group of the best laboratories in the world.
It is important to mention that, in the last 16 years, the Talara Refinery laboratory has managed to renew its accreditation four times, the last one being obtained until 2026.
An accreditation granted by INACAL recognizes that a laboratory is empowered to carry out testing, analysis, inspection and certification activities, in this way INACAL seeks to ensure the technical competence of the Conformity Assessment Bodies (testing laboratories, calibration, clinical laboratories and inspection and certification bodies), through the use of normalized standards.
Once again, PETROPERÚ, through its New Talara Refinery, reaffirms its commitment to contribute to guaranteeing the supply of high-quality fuels with fewer sulfur components at the national level, having a positive impact on health and the environment, since it will preserve and improve the air quality, generating a significant decrease in the cost of citizens for respiratory diseases.
