James Atkins lerggios is appointed chairman of the board of PETROPERU
Engineer James Atkins Lerggios was appointed as Chairman of the Board of Directors by the General Shareholders' Meeting of PETROPERU, composed of the ministers of Energy and Mines (MINEM) and Economy and Finance (MEF) and also comprised of two representatives of the MEM and one of the MEF.
In addition, the General Shareholders' Meeting agreed to appoint Patricia Elliot Blas as a member of the Board of Directors, while Mr. Hernan Barros Cruchaga remains in his capacity as Vice Chairman of the Board and Mr. Alex Alvarado Arauzo continues as a member of the Board of Directors of the Company.
These agreements were taken in a universal session of the PETROPERU JGA held on April 25, going into effect as of April 26 of this year.
James Atkins Lerggios is an industrial engineer from the University of Piura with more than 25 years of experience in the oil industry. He was general manager of Equipetrol, Catco SAC and Hughes Christensen Company in Peru and several countries in Latin America. He has also held various management positions at the National Institute of Civil Defense.
Patricia Elliot Blas holds a bachelor's degree in Economics from the Universidad Nacional Agraria La Molina, a Master's in Administration from the ESAN University and has participated in the Senior Management Program of the University of Piura. She has been Operations Manager and Executive Director of FONAFE.
