Iquitos students benefit from the delivery of school supplies
Petroperú, committed to the growth and development of the areas where it operates, and with the purpose of contributing to improving the educational quality of children and adolescents in the towns surrounding the Iquitos Sales Plant and Refinery, delivered more than two thousand packs, consisting of notebooks, paper, pens, pencils and pencil cases, among other school supplies.
It should be noted that this campaign began 13 years ago and since then it has benefited thousands of schoolchildren from dozens of public schools in the area, in a gesture that seeks to contribute to the education of the little ones.
The benefited students belong to the educational institutions of the Punchana district. The I.E. “Las Malvinas”, adjacent to the Iquitos Sales Plant, houses children from 15 human settlements.
In the rural area, school packages were delivered to 13 communities such as Barrio Florido, Santa Clara Zone I, Zone II and Zone III, Costanera, Centro Arenal, Independencia, Santa Clotilde, El Milagro, Santo Tomás, Astoria, Picuro Yacu and San Antonio de Picuro.
Considering the remoteness and geographical difficulties, the delivery was made directly to the students and teachers in each educational institution in the communities or town center.
With this program, Petroperú facilitates the development of the pedagogical work of public schools located in its areas of influence and reaffirms its commitment to education, as part of its social management policy.
