International and national companies presented proposals for the Biodiesel B100 acquisition process

In accordance with the schedule of the competitive acquisition process COM-013-2021-GDCH/PETROPERÚ, today, Monday, January 10, 2022, PETROPERÚ received proposals for the purchase of Biodiesel B100 in the local market, for the period comprised between January and April of this year.

The reception of proposals was carried out in a private ceremony that was attended by the notary public Rulby Vela Velásquez, who attested to the act, so that the process is carried out with the principles of transparency, impartiality and fair and equal treatment between the participating companies.

In total, four proposals were received, two from the international companies Repsol Trading S.A. and Trafigura Pte. Ltd. The other two were from the national companies Bio Energy Peru S.A.C. and Heaven Petroleum Operators S.A. The contract award ceremony be held tomorrow, Tuesday, January 11, before 19:00, according to the process schedule.

With the purchase of this product, PETROPERÚ will guarantee the production and supply of fuels in accordance with the regulations in force in the country's hydrocarbon market.

This new process has been carried out with total transparency, in accordance with PETROPERÚ's hydrocarbon acquisition procedure and taking into account the recommendation made in the legal technical report by which the purchase of national Biodiesel B100 made between October and November of last year was declared void. As can be recalled, at the end of December of last year, PETROPERÚ reported the nullity of the contracts derived from the Competition Process No. COM-012-2021-GDCH/PETROPERÚ “Acquisition of Biodiesel B100 in the local market for the period January-April 2022", which is why this new call was made.

PETROPERÚ has been coordinating the simultaneous control of the Office of the Comptroller General of the Republic in the hydrocarbon purchasing processes carried out by the company, for the sake of transparency and the strengthening of its corporate governance.
