Intense program of training in raising and prevention of bird diseases

Seeking to improve the quality of life of dozens of families from the communities of the district of Morona, in the province of Datem del Marañón, Loreto region, PETROPERU and the Directorate of Agrarian Health (SENASA) will train the leaders of the area as health promoters animal, seeking to optimize the techniques in raising poultry, as well as detect and combat their diseases.

The training, in charge of SENASA personnel, includes a monitoring of sick birds to determine the diseases present in the area and to prepare the annual vaccination calendar.

It should be noted that the state oil company has opted to coordinate efforts in communication and training aimed at intensifying and improving the actions of technology transfer to these small producers, referred to the control of bird diseases and vaccination.

The 18 beneficiary villages are, among others, Puerto América and Puerto Alegría, - in compliance with the commitments assumed by PETROPERU - by means of agreements with the contingency communities of Km 206 of the North Branch Pipeline (ORN).

This day will take place on two days Tuesday 4 and Wednesday 5 September in the communities of San Francisco, Santa Rosa del Maranon, Antena 4, Copacabana, Puerto America, Puerto Libre, Dos Hermanos, Nueva Union and San Martin, among others.

Also, starting on Thursday 6 the vaccination of all the Creole birds (commonly called backyard) of the beneficiary communities will continue.
