Incident at Catalytic Cracking Unit

PETROPERU reports that today, Tuesday, October 23, 2018, at 10:50 a.m., there was an incident during the routine maintenance work of one of the pumps of the Catalytic Cracking Unit of the Talara Refinery, immediately activating the contingency plan.

As a result of the sudden emission of hydrocarbon vapors, the workers Patricio Márquez Pérez and Jhakson Espinoza Del Rosario suffered first and second degree burns, received first aid and were taken to a local clinic to receive medical attention as needed. By medical recommendation, both workers will be transferred to Lima to continue with their treatment.

In addition to having initiated the corresponding investigations, the Company has been informing the competent authorities of the status of the situation described.
