This Saturday, September 12, the PETROPERÚ Cultural Center will continue with its online interview program called “COPErsaciones de Oro”, in reference to the winners of the first place in the Copé Story Award, organized by the state oil company.

The writer and diplomat Alejandro Neyra Sánchez, current Minister of Culture, will be the invited personality to comment and delve more on the work of Luis Enrique Tord, 1987 Story Copé Award, second place in the 1979 Copé Award and third in the Copé Award 1983.

On this occasion, Tord's story, entitled “Cide Hamete Benengeli, co-author of Don Quixote”, will be analyzed and deepened by the current Minister of Culture, who, in addition to having also won the 2019 Short Story Copé Award, is a notable writer author of various publications.

This new day of "COPErsaciones de Oro" will be held, as in previous opportunities, through the Facebook Live of the PETROPERU Cultural Center. The appointment is scheduled for 11:00 a.m.

It should be noted that Luis Enrique Tord was a historian, anthropologist, storyteller and poet, as well as a diplomat, director of the National Institute of Culture, and a university professor at prestigious Peruvian universities, among other renowned positions. He obtained various distinctions such as the "Antonio Miró Quesada" National Prize for Culture (1971), the "Jaime Bausate y Meza" Prize from the Spanish Embassy (1973), the "Luis A. Eguiguren" Prize (1978), the Gold Medal of the City of Arequipa, and the Cross of Arts and Letters of the Government of Austria. In the area of literature he was the author of titles such as "Oro de Pachacámac", "Secret Fire", "Mirror of constellations", "Sun of the suns", among others.

This cycle of interviews seeks to publicize the winning works of the Story Copé Award of the last 40 years, as part of the permanent literary promotion that PETROPERU carries out in our country.
