Ilo fishermen organize traditional chocolatada sponsored by PETROPERU
Around 400 people, including children, teachers and the general public, enjoyed a delicious hot chocolate and children's show organized by representatives of the Union of Artisanal Fishermen and Civil Divers of Ilo (SUPABCI) and PETROPERU on the occasion of Fisherman's Day.
The children of the initial level of the schools Sister Ana de los Angeles, Admiral Miguel Grau and students of the special school Corazon de Jesus, in the company of their teachers, spent pleasant moments enjoying all the surprises prepared by the organizers.
The activity is part of the program of celebrations for the day of San Pedro and San Pablo, being traditional that the SUPABCI carry it out every year. "On this occasion we have received the sponsorship of the state oil company and we appreciate the support provided," said the general secretary of the Union, Wilber Isaac Tapia.
"We believe that these social tasks unite us for the good of the children of the port of Ilo and what better to share it with the friends of the craft fishing guild in its week of celebration for the Day of the Fisherman," said Ricardo Medina, coordinator of Community Relations of the Corporate Management, Social Management and Communications of PETROPERU.
These support actions are part of PETROPERU's Social Management Plan in the area of influence of its operations, and it bears witness to the Company's commitment to the progress and welfare of the Ilo population.
