Ilo athletes were awarded by PETROPERU

In public ceremony, schoolchildren of the Mercedes Cabello school in Carbonera, in Ilo, received -on behalf of PETROPERU- a well-deserved recognition for their achievements, in various sports disciplines, during this year,

Thus, Danae Santibañez Juárez, national champion of shot and discus throwing; Cielo Mercado Mendoza, national champion in shot impulse and Jordan Salas Reynoso, winner of the bronze medal in long jump were awarded by the state oil company, highlighting their gifts not only as athletes, but also as excellent students.

Representatives of the oil company highlighted that the objective of the Company is to strengthen the enthusiasm of schoolchildren for their school or sports activities, which will translate into greater opportunities when they finish their studies.

This way, PETROPERU rewards the effort and determination of these young athletes, who agreed to be grateful for this support because, they said, they will serve as an incentive in future projects.

In turn, Edgar Mayta Loza, director of the educational institution, expressed his gratitude to the state oil company for his constant support not only to students, but to the population in general, which, he said, translates into several works, such as the roof of one of the patios of the mentioned establishment, as well as the delivery of kitchens and kitchen utensils to the soup kitchens of the port of Ilo.

This way, PETROPERU continues to demonstrate its work for the well-being of the Ilo citizenship and reaffirms its commitment to continue contributing to the development of the province.
