Hydrocarbon spill ruled out at Conchán Refinery Multibuoy Terminal

Hydrocarbon spill ruled out at Conchán Refinery Multibuoy Terminal

Faced with journalistic versions of an alleged oil spill at the Conchán Refinery Multibuoy Terminal, PETROPERÚ reports the following:

  1. The Conchán Refinery Multibuoy Terminal has been carrying out its hydrocarbon unloading tasks normally, the same ones that were restarted when the presence of iridescence in its operations was ruled out.
  2. The verification work was carried out by the Environmental Assessment and Enforcement Agency (OEFA) and the General Directorate of Captaincies and Coast Guards (Dicapi), who reviewed the land area and flew over the marine area to rule out the presence of oily stains. The National Port Authority (APN) and the Supervisory Agency for Investment in Energy and Mining (Osinergmin) also participated.
  3. The preventive verification actions are part of the Company's regulatory procedure, which includes the inspection of hoses and underwater structures, as well as the Leak Detection System.
