Health workers acknowledge donation of the Talara Modular Hospital
The new Talara Modular Hospital that PETROPERU recently donated to ESSALUD, to strengthen universal care for COVID-19 patients, is fully operational, attending to cases that occur in the oil province.
In these circumstances, the workers of ESSALUD II – Talara Hospital, through the Central Workers’ Union Federation of said hospital, thanked the donation of the Talara Modular Hospital because, they said, it contributes to continue fighting with better tools against the COVID-19 pandemic.
Through a letter, said Union agrees to continue in the front line of battle to contain the disease, this time in better infrastructure and equipment conditions. "Without a doubt, the contribution of the state oil company will give tranquility to the population of Talara, even more so considering that the hospital center has been implemented with the most modern technology," the representatives of the federation maintain.
The Talara Modular Hospital began operations on December 16 with the hospitalization of 19 patients diagnosed with COVID-19 and, since then, it has been contributing to the fight against the pandemic in the Piura region, where an increase has been reported in recent weeks of cases, according to a report from the health authorities.
The new medical infrastructure has 30 hospital beds and an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) with 15 ICU beds, fully equipped for the care of insured and uninsured patients who require artificial ventilation and critical care; those that are in operation.
Both the operation and maintenance of the Modular Hospital is under the care of ESSALUD, an institution that has also assumed the provision of professional and technical staff, as well as supplies and medicines for the treatment of COVID-19, guaranteeing its optimal functioning.
In this way, PETROPERU continues to materialize its commitment to join forces and demonstrate its active and constant solidarity in the fight against COVID-19 with the province of Talara and in the Piura region.
