General Manager of PETROPERÚ visited the Bayóvar Terminal

The General Manager of PETROPERÚ, Hugo Chávez Arévalo, visited the facilities of the Bayóvar Port Terminal, located in the province of Sechura in the Piura region, where he verified the operation of activities and the availability of personnel to carry out the operation.

The official made a tour of the dock, the control room and the tank yard, verifying the good condition of the infrastructure and the adequate availability of workers for the development of port activities as part of the oil industry.

Chávez Arévalo, highlighted the importance of the Bayóvar Terminal due to its infrastructure and strategic location for the embarkation and disembarkation of crude oil. In addition, he stressed the good management of environmental management that accompanies these tasks.

This port terminal has fourteen (14) tanks with a combined storage capacity of 1.7 million barrels of crude. In addition, due to its great depth of 27 meters, it can receive tankers with a capacity of up to 250 thousand tons.

Certifications

The Bayóvar Terminal has the Certification in the Quality Management System under the ISO 9001:2015 standard, granted by SGS, a world leader in inspection, verification, analysis and certification. As well as certifications granted by the APN such as the Declaration of Compliance of the Port Facility (DCIP), by virtue of the provisions of the International Code for the Protection of Ships and Port Facilities (ISPS Code). It has also received the Special Port Facility Certificate - IPE and the Port Facility Security Certificate - CSIP, which makes it a highly recognized specialized facility in its field.

During the visit, Chávez Arévalo spoke with the staff about the objectives of his administration, which will ensure that all workers have the same rights and benefits, without discrimination. He also exhorted them to maintain their professional commitment to meet the strategic objectives of the company to supply energy to the entire country.
