General Manager of PETROPERÚ is recognized as Honorary President of Club Atlético Torino of Talara
The General Manager of PETROPERÚ, Hugo Chávez Arévalo, received recognition as Honorary President of the Club Atlético Torino of Talara.
In a ceremony organized by the sports institution, the official received from the hands of the President of the soccer team, José Antonio Silva Mendoza, a commemorative plaque and the official “Northern Drill” jersey.
Together with him, the Public Relations and Social Management Manager, Raúl Verano; the Operations Manager, Óscar Vera; the Commercial Manager, Enrique Tejada and the Talara Refinery Manager, Arturo Paredes.
The act also served to reaffirm the commitment of the state company with Talara through its most important and emblematic soccer team and its goal of winning the Peru Cup in 2022 and thus returning to professional soccer. “We are committed to moving the team forward and I am sure that we will win the Peru Cup. As sponsors, the Club Atlético Torino will receive all of our support and advice so that it can be managed as a company, highly oriented towards meeting goals,” said Chávez.
Social investment will continue in Talara
Committed to continuing to positively impact the quality of life of the local population, PETROPERÚ in 2022 will continue to make a social investment aimed at improving health through sports and its infrastructure. To this end, the state-owned company will summon companies with operations in the city and in the province to invest in the improvement of sports infrastructure and in the dissemination of the various disciplines among local children, adolescents and young people.
Club Atlético Torino
The Club Atlético Torino is the emblematic soccer club of the oil city. It was founded on March 20, 1957 and has been five times champion of the Peru Cup, being known for it as "The King of Cups".
