Fruitful dialogue between settlers and PETROPERU and the PCM restores social peace in Station 1 of the North Peruvian Pipeline
- After an intense day of dialogue on the part of a commission of PETROPERU and the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, yesterday, February 6, an agreement was reached with a group of Saramurillo residents, who had fenced the access to Station 1 of the North Peruvian Pipeline (ONP) and retained three barges of the Company.
- Once the barges were released and the measure of force was lifted by the residents, an inspection of the facilities was carried out to guarantee their habitability, after which Station 1 will begin to function normally.
- In this way, through dialogue, it was possible to meet the requirements of the population and restore social peace. In this atmosphere of mutual trust and dialogue, the different projects that the sectors of the State are implementing in that locality will be made viable; as well as the Social Responsibility projects that PETROPERU carries out with the communities adjacent to the ONP.
