Forty companies participated in I Reverse Roadshow PMRT

The I Reverse Roadshow was carried out with the participation of representatives of forty national and international companies, specialists in the operation and maintenance of industrial plants, with regards to the Talara Refinery Modernization Project (PMRT), and was inaugurated by engineer Esteban Bertarelli Bustamante, General Manager of PETROPERU, who was accompanied by engineer Jorge Alméstar Mauricio, PMRT Manager.

During the presentation, engineer Bertarelli highlighted the importance of this specialized meeting because it will allow local, national and international companies to learn about the technical aspects of the PMRT, so that they can offer valuable solutions to ensure the sustainability of the operation of the future Talara Refinery.

On the first day, PETROPERU representatives presented the routine maintenance, plant stops, inspection and predictive maintenance necessary for the new process units. The second day the operation and maintenance of the Auxiliary Units was addressed and it came to an end with a field visit, where the participants verified the progress in the construction of the PMRT.

A new refinery

The construction of the new Talara Refinery is being carried out to comply with current legal regulations, to preserve air quality and contribute to the improvement of public health by reducing sulfur contents in fuels; as well as to ensure the supply of fuels in the national market.

The construction of the refinery is a technological development that will completely modify the current production scheme, allowing to process heavy crudes and obtain products with higher added value (diesel, gasoline and LPG).
