First lot of frazadas delivered to families affected by frosts in Villa Maria del Triunfo

This morning, PETROPERU, with the support of the National Institute of Civil Defense (INDECI) delivered about two thousand blankets to families of the Manolo Castillo Human Settlement located in the upper part of Villa María del Triunfo, and who are suffering from the low temperatures that characterize that southern zone of Lima.

From very early on, hundreds of families gathered in the sports slab of the aforementioned human settlement, to receive the blankets by the volunteer staff of the Conchán Refinery of PETROPERU, with the support of INDECI representatives.

Thus, more than 800 families benefited in this first installment of the campaign undertaken by PETROPERU called "Abriguemos Corazones", in which the voluntary contribution of the workers managed to finalize this effort, which will be replicated soon in the districts of Huacullani, in Puno; Ichuña, in Moquegua and in the town of Ninacaca, in Pasco. All these places, which have a high level of poverty, are located at more than 3,500 meters above sea level.

The leader of the community, Jhonny Espinoza, thanked the oil company for the gesture of solidarity to deliver this shelter material to the residents of this human settlement that suffer every year the consequences of low temperatures.

For its part, Col. EP Edgar Ortega, Response Director of INDECI, highlighted this valuable support from PETROPERU with the community to combat the low temperatures in the area and requested more similar initiatives to bring aid to other places in the country.
