Families affected by fire receive support from Petroperú
Petroperú delivered construction materials to more than 20 families from the A.H. Sol de Oro, in Talara after they suffered -last November- the loss of their homes and property after a devastating fire.
For the construction of their new houses, the state oil company provided a total of 630 plywood sheets, slats and nearly 100 kilos of nails, which will allow those affected to rebuild their homes and thus improve the quality of life of those affected.
The president of the Neighborhood Council of the A.H. Sol de Oro, José Herrera, thanked the social action carried out by Petroperú because -he said- it contributes to strengthening the good relationship and ties of solidarity that the company maintains with the neighbors close to the New Talara Refinery.
It is worth noting that as soon as the incident occurred, Petroperú provided initial support to the affected families through a significant number of pallets (wooden slats) as well as toilets and sinks that were very useful in the reconstruction stage of the homes.
In this way, the State company reaffirms its commitment to the local community in line with its Social Management Policy and the Community Relations Plan in Talara.
