Enjoy this weekend's literary talks thanks to PETROPERU
The Minister of Culture, Alejandro Neyra Sánchez, will be the special guest of the discussion that will take place this Saturday 5, from 6:00 pm, on his work "My sacred monster", 2019 Short Story Copé Award. The event will also be attended by the Dra. Rocío Quispe-Agnoli, Professor of Spanish-American Colonial Studies in the Department of Romance and Classical Studies at Michigan State University.
As is known, the current holder of said portfolio is a diplomat and a renowned Peruvian writer, and the discussion is part of the 25th edition of the International Book Fair - FIL Lima 2020, which, this year, is held through digital media. The public will be able to follow the discussion through the FIL Lima fanpage.
Previously, at 11:00 a.m. the PETROPERU Cultural Center will continue with its online interview program called “COPErsaciones de Oro”, in reference to the winners of the first place of the Story Copé Award literary contest, organized by the state oil company 41 years ago.
The writer and literary critic, Cronwell Jara, winner of the Copé Gold in 1985, for his work "La Fuga de Agamenón Castro", will be the guest of this week, through the Facebook Live of the PETROPERU Cultural Center, with the conduction of the writer and teacher Juan Manuel Chávez (Peru) and the comments of the writer Carolina Reyes Torres (Chile).
And the day before, on Friday the 4th, from 7:00 p.m., there will be a new discussion on the recent publication: “Viajes y Virajes. Anthology of stories of the Andean Community”, the same one that will be in charge of the narrators Ricardo Sumalavia (Peru), Sandra Araya (Ecuador) and Alberto Chimal (Mexico).
All these activities are part of PETROPERU's permanent cultural commitment, which encourages research and literary creation among new and experienced Peruvian and foreign writers.
