Engineer Carlos Vives Suárez appointed Chairman of the Board of Petroperú

Petroperú's General Shareholders' Meeting appointed petroleum engineer Carlos Edgar Vives Suárez as Chairman of the Board of Petróleos del Perú - Petroperú S.A., effective January 9, 2023.

Vives Suárez is a graduate of the National Engineering University, with 40 years of experience in the oil industry and in related activities such as oil negotiation and contracting, environmental protection, community relations and prior consultation.

As can be recalled, Vives Suárez had been serving as vice president and independent Director of Petroperú since April 1, 2022.

In the universal session of the General Shareholders' Meeting of Petroperú, held on January 8, Pedro Chira Fernández was also appointed as a new member of the company's Board of Directors.

The Petroperú Board of Directors is also made up of Edmundo Lizarzaburu Bolaños, Víctor Murillo Huamán, José Andrés Olivares Canchari and Antonio Manosalva Alarcón, representing the workers.
