Efraín Sotacuro, part of the group of athletes sponsored by PETROPERU, won the bronze medal in the 1,500 meter competition for athletics at the Lima 2019 Pan American Games.
The 28-year-old Peruvian representative made a time of 4:17:00 in the T46 mode. With this result the Peruvian delegation already counts 5 medals in Lima 2019.
Efraín Sotacuro is a Huancavelica fondista who won fifth place in the Paralympic Marathon World Championship held in London this year; He also won fourth place in the Paralympic Marathon in the Rio 2016 Olympics and seeks his classification to the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games.
