In order to strengthen security in the transportation of hydrocarbons at the national level, Petroperú held its last Central Committee of Transporters of the year, which had the participation of representatives of the land transportation companies that carry out this work in the country. .

There were more than 60 participants in this event, including owners, managers and diverse personnel from the different strategic partners of the State oil company, who were emphasized on the importance of safety and caution when driving a vehicle in the one that transports fuel on the country's roads.

In this sense, emphasis was placed on redoubling good safety practices applied by transportation companies with a current contract with Petroperú, as well as following contractual compliance indicators and compliance records, reinforcing the commitment to achieve the goal of zero accidents.

During the development of the Central Committee of Transporters, indications and recommendations were shared to avoid accidents or contingencies. Likewise, it was suggested that transporters report and disseminate the conditions of the roads, especially in rainy seasons, to avoid setbacks.

At the meeting they were informed that Petroperú has transported, between its plants, terminals and airports, in the period from January to October of this year, a total of 204,641,542 gallons of fuel, equivalent to 16.24 thousand barrels of gasoline per day. , diesel and intermediate products, via land transportation with a fleet of 500 tankers on average, traveling a total of 20,178,355 kilometers.

In addition, a total of 50,398 hours of training were carried out for drivers, which has significantly reduced accidents in matters of safety, health and the environment during transfers from 2021 to 2023.

In this way, Petroperú promotes safety in the land transportation of hydrocarbons at the national level, working in permanent coordination with the companies and drivers that contribute to the supply of fuel in the country.
