Delegation from the CAEN visits Iquitos Refinery

PETROPERU received a delegation of 14 officers of the Armed Forces, students of the Master’s in Development and National Defense of the Center for National Studies (CAEN), who made a guided visit to the facilities of the Iquitos Refinery.

The students of the Graduate School of CAEN received a technical talk about the mission, organization and functions of the Iquitos Refinery, the operation of the North Peruvian Pipeline, the PMRT and the social management of the Company in charge of Eng. Oscar Vera Gargurevich, Selva Refining Sub Manager.

The senior official highlighted the important work of PETROPERU in the supply of fuel to the region, as it produces hydrocarbons, which are transported by land and river to meet the demand of important Amazonian cities.

Subsequently, the delegation toured the Refinery facilities, where participants entered the Control Room. In addition, visitors knew the artificial lagoon and the old Iquitos Refinery.

CAEN is an academic institution in Peru, in charge of training and improvement in security, development and national defense of the officers of the Armed Forces, National Police of Peru and civilian professionals.
