Copé winners will be present at the Trujillo Book Fair

On October 10 and 11, the presentations of the winning books of the 2018 Copé Award will be held.

The publications of Ediciones Copé de PETROPERU will be presented at the Eighth International Book Fair of Trujillo 2019, which will be held until October 13 in the Plaza de Armas of that northern city, and which expects to receive more than 250 thousand attendees.

The presentation of the winning works of the 2018 Copé Award: “Adagios. Criticism of the present from a melancholic science ”by Ciro Alegría Varona, and“ The cold skin and the winning and finalist stories of the XX Biennial of Short Story “Prize Copé 2018” by Stuart Flores and other writers, will be held on Thursday October 10 to 6 pm. Both publications will have the presence of the authors and will be commented by the prominent literary critic Ricardo González Vigil.

On the other hand, on October 11 at 7 p.m. the volume “21. Stories about the Independence of Peru” by the compiler José Donayre, which brings together twenty-one stories that recreate different episodes of the emancipatory deed. This work by Ediciones Copé, which will also be commented by Ricardo González Vigil, has been the first Peruvian publication to receive the Bicentennial Seal and has also inaugurated the Bicentennial Collection of PETROPERU.

It should be noted that this 2019, the Copé Award celebrates 40 years of constant work to promote literary creation, as well as the promotion of reading through the publication and distribution of our literature. Thus, the company reaffirms its commitment to promote access to culture throughout the country.
