Copé 2017 awards ceremony
- Hugo Yuen Cárdenas won the Novel Copé Oro and Marco Antonio Quijano won the Poetry Copé Oro.
This Wednesday, December 6 at 7:30 p.m. the presentation ceremony of the 2017 Copé Award will take place, one of the most prestigious literary competitions, promoted by PETROPERÚ for 38 consecutive years with the objective of promoting culture and literary creation in Peru, as well as promoting reading among the population .
In this edition, the writer Hugo Antonio Yuen Cárdenas was the winner of the Copé Oro of the VI Novel Biennial with the work "El laberinto de los endriagos", while Alberto Juan Musso Vento with his work "El gallo de Candamo" and Max Daniel Crespo Loayza, with "La hora del montonero" were distinguished with honorable mentions.
For his part, "Colección privada o los colores ocultos de la turbación", by Marco Antonio Quijano Miranda, won the Copé Oro of the XVIII Poetry Biennial. The Copé Plata Award went to Ernesto Benigno Zumarán Alvítez, for his work "La noche y su sombra"; and Alejandro Enrico Susti Gonzales obtained the Copé Bronze for "Bajo la mancha azul del cielo".
The winners will receive money prizes, the Copé Trophy and the publication of the winning works. In addition, the academic recognition that means achieving this coveted award, which has also been obtained by renowned writers, such as Armando Robles Godoy, Julio Ortega, César Silva-Santisteban, Fernando Iwasaki, Rocío Silva-Santisteban, Iván Thays, Jorge Eslava, Eduardo González Viaña, Pablo Guevara and Washington Delgado, among others
The awards ceremony will be held in the PETROPERU auditorium, Av. Enrique Canaval y Moreyra 150, San Isidro, where the call for the Copé 2018 Award for the essay and short story categories will also be made. Admission is free.
