Construction work continues for the New Supply Terminal of Ilo
- Posts go from topographers and bricklayers to dump truck operators.
The hiring of local personnel for the works of what will be the New Supply Terminal in Ilo continues. To date, there are already 75 workers who are performing functions such as surveyors, metalworkers and masons, among others. In this way, PETROPERU reaffirms its commitment to contribute to the development of the Moquegua region by offering jobs to the local population.
The workers who are already working on this project, located 24 km south of the city of Ilo, are -in their majority- of the port itself and perform the functions of dump truck operators, roller operators, surveyors, lookouts and laborers.
As for unskilled labor, they total 29, of which 21 are local; that is, 72.4% is covered by Ilo locals, via the Labor Exchange of the Ministry of Labor and Employment Promotion.
It should be noted that the new Ilo Supply Terminal will satisfactorily meet the current and projected demand for liquid fuels destined for the southern part of the country.
The calls to cover the places that are generated in the project are made by the contractor in charge of the work and the reception of documents is done in the front of the office of the Ministry of Labor and Employment Promotion (located in Jr. Abtao 665, 3rd floor, Ilo).
