These modern process units will reduce the sulfur levels in fuels such as diesel, gasoline and LPG, to a maximum content of 50 parts per million of sulfur. Likewise, they will contribute to the new Talara Refinery having an installed capacity to process 95 thousand barrels per day in order to supply the national market.

Waste disposal

PETROPERÚ has been doing the final disposal of clean solid waste in the dump located near the road to Negritos, which has been authorized by the Public Services Management of the Provincial Municipality of Talara.

As part of the procedure, the material that is removed from the work areas of the PMRT is evaluated through tests that are taken in the field and analyzed in the laboratory to determine the concentration of hydrocarbons, as established in Supreme Decree 011-2017- MINAM, which approves the Environmental Quality Standards (ECA). Meanwhile, the material with hydrocarbon concentration is transferred to the Milla 6 secure fill, authorized by the General Directorate of Environmental Health (Digesa).

In this way, PETROPERU reaffirms its commitment to the environment, rigorously fulfilling its environmental obligations, which are permanently supervised by the oversight entities.
