Construction of New Ninacaca Supply Plant advances at good speed

The construction of the new Ninacaca Supply Plant in Pasco, which will supply fuels to the central region of the country, is showing remarkable progress. The progress of the works has reached 33%.

To date, the foundations of the six storage tanks (five of products and one of firefighting systems) have been completed, which will include the new plant, where about 70 people have worked, of which 80 percent correspond to local workforce

It should be noted that this plant is located one kilometer from the district of the same name, at 4,130 meters above sea level. Its construction is in charge of the OBS-IMECON consortium, which has adhered to the most stringent international standards for this type of works, highlighting that during this phase the water from the lagoons and rivers of the area has not been used, since has contracted tanker trucks service from external sources.

At the conclusion of the works of the new PETROPERU plant, it will have a storage capacity of 7,500 barrels of B5 diesel and gasoholes; it will also have a water tank, with a capacity of 6,104 barrels, which would be used in case of a fire.
