Companies that will participate in the clearing of the Pipeline receive training

The first day of the training plan was carried out with great success for the companies that will work in the service of "Clearing the Right of Way and the Early Warning System of the North Peruvian Pipeline (ONP)". This work will begin in three sectors of Section I and two sectors of Section II of the ONP.

The objective is to establish a new mechanism for local employment and relations with the communities neighboring the Pipeline. The selected companies are Ecubama EIRL, Procoser SRL, HS SAC and Constructora y Servicios Generales MIKAYU, among others.

It should be noted that this plan will increase the economic dynamics of the neighboring populations to the ONP, since job opportunities will be created for the inhabitants of the neighboring towns. In addition, transparent business management will be encouraged, since the participation of companies is being ordered through a register of suppliers that complies with their labor, tax and occupational health and safety obligations.

The system contemplates the hiring of 100% local labor, which will be coordinated in community assemblies. This guarantees total transparency and full participation of the population, through a rotating work system.

To date, the communities adjacent to the Pipeline have already been identified, with which the informative workshops are being held, looking for zero incidents in the ONP through the Participatory Surveillance System.

This way, PETROPERU implements a community relationship strategy to strengthen the long-term relationship of trust, understanding and mutual help with the communities surrounding the North Peruvian Pipeline.
