Community residents participate in clearing work at the Iquitos Refinery

With the participation of 145 residents of the Barrio Florido, Santa Clara Zone I, Zone II and Zone III communities, Petroperú carried out the clearing and weed collection work in the external green areas around the Iquitos Refinery.

Prior to the start of these works, which are carried out periodically to prevent the disproportionate growth of weeds and the proliferation of reptiles in the area, the residents participated in an induction talk on occupational health and safety procedures.

The objective of these trainings is to prepare the personnel so that they can carry out their tasks safely, having the necessary knowledge to identify the dangers and risks that could arise during their working hours.

These tasks are a source of work for the inhabitants of the communities neighboring the Iquitos Refinery, contributing to reinforce the surveillance of this strategic industrial facility of Petroperú in the Loreto region.
