College students visited Iquitos Refinery facilities

A delegation made up of students from the Universidad Nacional de la Amazonía Peruana (UNAP) and the Universidad Nacional de Piura (UNP) were led in a guided tour of the Iquitos Refinery facilities, in order to learn about the processes developed for the production of fuels.

As part of the visit that was carried out following the respective security protocols, the students received a presentation on this Petroperú operation, which has the strategic role of being the only fuel supplier in the area, promoting the economic development of the Loreto region.

After the technical presentation, the students took a tour of the industrial facilities that allowed them to learn about the infrastructure, equipment and tools that are part of the processes carried out at the Iquitos Refinery to produce the fuels that supply the Loreto, San Martín and part of Ucayali.

The university students highlighted this Petroperú initiative that has allowed them to learn about an industrial operation and share experiences and knowledge with professionals and technicians from the Iquitos Refinery who have extensive experience in the energy sector.
