College students from across the country visit Iquitos Refinery

More than a hundred students from different universities in the country visited the Iquitos Refinery facilities, where 12,000 barrels of oil are processed per day, to produce 90 and 84 octane gasoline, A1 turbo, B5 diesel and residual 6, which are marketed in the Amazon and export to Leticia, Colombia.

During the visit, the students were informed about the role played by this PETROPERU operation, as well as the modality of transport of fuel by river, through double-hulled barges. They also learned about the Integrated Management System implemented and the actions that as part of the Social Management Plan are carried out in the communities near Iquitos Refinery.

The students highlighted the work carried out by PETROPERU to process quality fuels with a firm commitment from the workers, who are permanently trained to achieve the standards of competitiveness and quality demanded by the market.

Likewise, they highlighted the importance of the professional internship program that the state company announces every year in its different operations, complementing the training of technicians and university students in the country, in different specialties.
