Clean-up activities at the Las Capullanas beach have ended

Petroperú states that the cleaning work on Las Capullanas beach has been completed. Likewise, the services of specialized companies have been contracted for the final evaluations and actions that are necessary in the following corresponding stages.

The upcoming actions to be carried out are being coordinated with local authorities, the Lobitos fishermen's union, and residents of the area, so that tourist and economic activities can continue normally.

Since day one, the company has deployed the mitigation plan in order to minimize the impact on the affected area. In this sense, Petroperú reaffirms its commitment to transparency, environmental protection and the well-being of society as a whole, as it has been doing in its more than 50 years of operations at a national level.

Finally, the company urges the media and the public opinion, in general, not to publish images or information that do not reflect reality. To do so, they are invited to inform themselves adequately and objectively.
