Children of Villa El Salvador took part in cultural programs
More than 120 children and adolescents from 19 Human Settlements (AAHH) in Villa El Salvador (VES), near the Conchán Refinery, participated in the cultural programs promoted by PETROPERU to promote art, values and good relations.
For eight months, the sports slabs, courtyards of schools and other public spaces of that district were the scenarios chosen so that children can express their artistic talents in a healthy environment.
Thus, with the Theater Workshop they were able to learn the main techniques of acting and stage performance, which allowed them to gain confidence in themselves. In addition, they strengthened their memory capacity, their commitment and group work.
The School Bands, on the other hand, sought to promote musical talent, through the use of trumpets, saxophones and drums, among other musical instruments. Thanks to the children's dedication to learn to play with precision, they were able to perform at different cultural events in their community.
Another workshop that took place among children and adolescents was the Community Circus, where they learned to strengthen their skills and good balance on stage using tools such as stilts, balls, ropes and other elements that allowed them to perform stunts with success.
These initiatives not only benefited the children but also their parents, who became involved in the process, observing and encouraging their children so that they could develop and manage with greater confidence, strengthening their self-esteem and responsibility, and promoting an adequate coexistence between their peers. In addition, it made it possible to distance them from risk situations and keep them focused on healthy entertainment activities.
