Children and teenagers from Villa El Salvador participated in dance workshops

With the participation of more than 50 children and adolescents and their families, the two Peruvian folk dance workshops, organized by Petroperú for the benefit of the residents of the Zona Playa and Parque Metropolitano human settlements, adjacent to the Conchán Refinery, came to an end.

The closing of the workshop for children from 8 to 12 years old was held at the Max Uhle school and that of young people from 13 to 17 years old at Las Palmeras school, both located in the district of Villa El Salvador. The workshops were led by Professor Martín Ramos, a specialist with more than 10 years of experience as an instructor in different educational institutions.

Both the children and the adolescents culminated the workshop with the interpretation of the typical dances Los Shacshas de Huaraz and Chinchivi, demonstrating what they had learned before the authorities, guests and their families.

The workshops were held during eight sessions, in which the participants received intensive training in aspects such as rhythm, coordination, expression and body development, improving their gross motor skills for the benefit of their future development and their cultural identity.

These training activities are carried out in line with the Cultural Policy of Petroperú and its activities to foster and promote art that it carries out with the aim of contributing to the development of the country, with equal opportunities for all its citizens.
