Cerro Verde recognizes PETROPERU as its best supplier

PETROPERÚ received today the award as the Best Strategic Supplier of Fuels by the mining company Cerro Verde S.A.A., during the 34th Perumin Mining Convention, entitled "Mining: Science, Innovation, Technology and Education" held in the city of Arequipa. The recognition was given by Dereck Cooke, general manager of the mining firm to his pair Carlos Barrientos, general manager of the state oil company, who thanked the award.

It should be noted that PETROPERU serves 58% of the mining market with fuels, being its main direct clients Cerro Verde, Antapaccay, Volcan and the Aruntani Group; while Yanacocha, Quellaveco, Hudbay, Constancia and Buenaventura do so through their wholesalers. In total, the state oil company supplies more than 65 mining companies throughout the country.

Customers in this sector are very demanding, with high quality standards (ISO 4406) because they use state-of-the-art machinery, so they require proper fuel supply handling and/or management. In this regard, PETROPERU comprehensively manages the provision of this critical input, from planning, programming, terminal loading, land transport, unloading, inventories and dispatches at the client's facilities.
